Teresa is from Linden, California. She went to the University of California, Riverside for her undergrad and New England School of Law for her J.D.
Cyrus is from Bethel, Vermont. He went to the University of Rochester in New York for his B.A.
Cyrus and Teresa met in Washington DC through Drinking Liberally, a social club for the left minded thinker. After several months as "just friends," Cyrus and Teresa started dating in January of 2010 after Teresa asked Cyrus out. They have been dating ever since.
Both love their newly adopted city and have decided to stay. In September of 2012, they bought a house together.
